Garden is ready

31th May 2014

We have done our garden. It was very busy and tiring day because we had to do it on Saturday. We decided to come back  to our apartment in Bytom today because I have to prepare a lot of files for workshops to London and Brighton and some flash tests and the last tests for students. So now we are in Silesia again. Luckily garden is clean and

Weekend in Jedlicze

30th May 2014

We have arrived to our summer house  because we have to cut the lawn and take care of our flowers. The journey was very nice and not so long. It takes us 2 hours and 30 minutes (250km) there weren't any traffic jams. The weather is unfriendly cold and  cloudy but luckily doesn't rain.
Tomorrow we must work in our garden because we were absent here 1 month. So tomorrow I am going to put some photos of my garden.

Upper Silesia again

29 th May 2014

We happily have come back home.It was a nice and interesting project in Germany. We have visited a lot of interesting places.  We are very tired after a long journey. We have taken a lot of photos I hope. so you will enjoy them.  Germany is very similar to Upper Silesia because for 3 centuries Silesia belonged to Germany.

In Germany almost everything is the same as in Poland ( shops, banks, cuisine and prices).

Konstanz

26th May

Konstanz is a great and amazing city.
Konstanz is situated on Lake Constance (the Bodensee in German). The Rhine river, which starts in the Swiss Alps, passes through Lake Constance and leaves it, considerably larger, by flowing under a bridge connecting the two parts of the city. North of the river lies the larger part of the city with residential areas, industrial estates, and the University of Konstanz; while south of the river is the old town, which houses the administrative centre and shopping facilities in addition to the Hochschule or the University of Applied Sciences. Car ferries provide access across Lake Constance to Meersburg, and the Katamaran provides a shuttle service for pedestrians to Friedrichshafen. At the old town's southern border lies the Swiss town of Kreuzlingen.

Monument - Konstanz is holding two men;the first the king and rhe second the Pope. It is located in the harbour. It's fantastic

I am on the way so I put more photos at weekend from my place.

Waiblingen

25th May 2014

Waiblingen is a town situated at the entrance to the Valley of the River Rems ( the Remstal) in Stuttgart region.

Waiblingen is able to look back on a long tradition. Early historical findings give evidence of a settlement here already in the Stone Age.
The location of Waiblingen is very closely associated with the history of the Roman Emperors of German Nation in the Early - and High Middle Ages.
There are a lot of famous landmarks here:

1. High Watchtower  was probably erected at the end of the 12th century and is actually older than city walls.
Watchtower

2. St. Michaels' Church and the Nunnery Chapel.

The outer churchyard area surrounded by the Schalenturm ( Shell Tower) 1463 include the late Gothic' St. Michael's Church erected at the end of the 15th century as well as the late Gothic Nunnery Chapel, a two storey chapel presumably intended as the a tomb repository.

Wilhelmina zoo and botanical garden in Sttutgart

24 th May 2014
We have spent a great time in the zoo in Sttutgart. In the morning it was raining cats and dogs but in the afternoon the weather has changed ant it was sunny.

Wilhelmina  was built as a royal palace, is now a 30-hectare (74-acre) zoo and botanical garden in the northern suburbs ofStuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is Europe's only large combined zoological and botanical garden, and is home to over 8,000 animals representing more than 1,000 different species, as well as more than 5,000 species of plants.
The upper section of the zoo includes an impressive stand of sequoia trees.
The zoo immediately adjoins a public park to its west, laid out in the 'English landscape style' of rolling grass and informal groups of trees. In landscape terms this perfectly complements the landscape of the zoo.

I put more photos when I come back Poland. It would be much more interesting.
